We are pleased to announce an important recognition for Usiglian del Vescovo: in the 2026 Guida Oro I Vini di Veronelli, two of our labels have been awarded the Three Red Stars, a score assigned to wines that achieve between 90 and 93 points, corresponding to the rating of an “excellent wine” according to the Guide’s criteria.

The Guida Oro I Vini di Veronelli is one of the most authoritative references for understanding Italian wine. Created by the Seminario Permanente Luigi Veronelli, heir to Luigi Veronelli’s historic critical passion, the guide each year selects, tastes, and describes a wide panorama of wines and producers, with evaluations curated by expert tasters and in-depth insights into territories, winemaking techniques, and winery histories.

Among the wines included in the 2026 selection and awarded with Three Red Stars are the following labels, available in our shop:

Il Grullaio IGT Costa Toscana – Vintage 2022
A lively and versatile red wine, capable of combining freshness and red fruit notes with an agile and vibrant character, the perfect companion to traditional dishes.

Il Barbiglione DOC Terre di Pisa – Vintage 2020
A deep and structured wine, a natural expression of the sandy terroir of Palaia, with intense aromas of red fruits and an elegant persistence.

This recognition is not simply a list of numbers: it is the result of long and meticulous work, made of careful cultivation, respectful winemaking, and daily dedication in the vineyard and in the cellar. The “excellent wine” rating of the Guide reflects not only the sensory quality of the wines, but also a project focused on organic farming, sustainability, territorial identity, and the techniques that will shape the future of the wine sector.

Being included with two wines in this selection is for us a source of pride and motivation to continue along the path we have chosen: enhancing our vineyards, respecting the natural cycle of each vintage, and offering wines that clearly express their place of origin.
